Ellen B. Robison, 74

Brunswick - Ellen B. Robison, 74, of Brunswick died Sunday, September 06, 2009, at Samaritan Hospital.

Born in Buffalo, she was daughter of the late Willis L. Brunner and Lucille Craik Brunner and wife for 50 years of Richard G. Robison. She was raised in Snyder, NY, and resided most of her life in the Colonie and Troy areas, and was a 1953 graduate of Amherst High School and a 1957 graduate of Russell Sage College.

Mrs. Robison was a homemaker, bookkeeper and community volunteer.

She was a past President of the Junior League of Troy, an active member of various boards and committees of Northeast Health in Troy including the Foundation, Beechwood, the Eddy where she especially enjoyed the Rules and Ethics Committee. Ellen was a member of the Vestry of St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Colonie, an active communicant of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Albany, a member of the Country Club of Troy and the Troy YMCA, and an avid gardener.

Survivors in addition to her husband include a son, Andrew C. (Donna) Robison of San Juan Capistrano, CA; a daughter, Cynthia R. (George) Lyman of Winnetka, IL; a brother, John (Dianne) Brunner of FL and NC; sisters-in-law Elissa Robison Prout of Troy, Barbara Robison Stegmaier of Cincinnati, Betty V. Robison of Mill Valley, CA, and Joanne Brunner of Buffalo; her grandchildren, Ellen Lyman, Jacob and Kendall Robison, and George Lyman IV; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, David Brunner.

A Memorial service will be held Thursday at 11 am at the St. Peter's Episcopal Church 107 State Street Albany with Rev. Paul Hartt, Rector, presiding.

Entombment will be in St. Peter's Church Columbarium Albany.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Ellen B. Robison to either St. Peter's Episcopal Church 105 State Street Albany, NY 12207 or Northeast Health Foundation 2224 Burdett Avenue Troy, NY 12180.
