Elizabeth 'Beth' M. (Bonesteel) Hughes

North Greenbush - Elizabeth M. ‘Beth’ Bonesteel Hughes, 71, of Blooming Grove Drive died Thursday, February 16, 2017, at Van Rensselaer Manor after a long illness.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late George E. Bonesteel and Susan Thau Bonesteel and wife of the late Spencer J.  Hughes, Sr. She had resided in Troy all her life and was a graduate of Troy High School class of 1963. 

Beth was an accountant for Simmons Machine Tools in Menands for several years and also worked at several area banks.  

She was a member of the Third Presbyterian Church in Troy and enjoyed baking, knitting, crocheting and fishing at their camp on Lake Ontario.  Beth always loved spending time with her grandchildren.    

Survivors include two sons, Spencer J. (Julie) Hughes Jr., Averill Park and Michael G. (Erin) Hughes, Apex, NC and four grandchildren, Robert, Jonathan, Jacob and Emma Hughes.  She was predeceased by a brother, George R. Bonesteel.

Funeral service private at the convenience of the family.
