Elizabeth Winship Nicoll , 96

Providence, RI Elizabeth Winship Nicoll , 96 ,of Providence, RI died Sunday, October 10, 2004 at her residence in Providence.

Born in Eagle Mills, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Frank Winship and the late Nell (McChesney) Winship and wife of the late Edward D. Nicoll.

She resided in Eagle Mills until 5 years ago and was a graduate of Emma Willard School and Russell Sage College.

Prior to her marriage, Mrs. Nicoll was a legal secretary to trial lawyer John T. Norton.

She was a member of the Eagle Mills United Methodist Church, a former member of the Women's Society and a teacher in the Sunday School. She was also a member of the Troy Women's Club, the Rensselaer Garden Club, Rensselaer County and Brunswick Historical Societies, the English Speaking Union, Women's Auxiliary of Samaritan Hospital and a member of the Country Club of Troy. She was a former member of Women's Auxiliary of Vanderheyden Hall.

She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia (Nicoll) Scott of Foxboro, MA. and Beth Kimberly Malgieri of Grafton, MA. and a grandson, Gregory E. Scott of San Francisco, CA.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the graveside service which will be held Friday at 1:00pm at Eagle Mills Cemetery, Garfield Road in Eagle Mills with Rev. David Martin, Pastor of Hope United Methodist Church, officiating. There will be no calling hours.
