Elizabeth (Betty) Howard Kelly, 73

Troy- Elizabeth (Betty) Howard Kelly, 73 died peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday June 3, 2005.

Betty was born December 15, 1931 and lived all her life in Troy, NY. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Marion Millington Howard. Betty graduated from Saint Patrick's School and Catholic Central High School class of 1950.

She was employed by Singer Sewing Machine Co. in the early '50's where she met the love of her life, Jim. She was also employed by Behr Manning Corporation up until her stroke in 1971. Betty was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and a member of the Sacred Heart School Woman's Club. She also enjoyed the Troy Elk's with her husband.
Betty was an avid reader, loyal Yankees fan and she loved politics, bingo and her two faithful dogs, Sally and Mac. But her greatest joy came from her family.

Betty is survived by her devoted husband and caregiver, James R Kelly; her daughters, Donna Kelly-Bruso of Troy and Karen Kelly of Forks Township, P A. Her son, James Jr. and his wife Maureen Kelly of Niskayuna. She is also survived by her loving brother Edward Jr. and his wife Dolores of Marina, CA and several nieces and nephews.

She was most proud of her 3 grandchildren whom she loved with all of her heart, Ryan Patrick, Meaghan Donlon and Brendan Peter Kelly all of Niskayuna. She will watch over you and guide you in every endeavor.

We would like to express our deepest and sincere gratitude to all that cared for Betty throughout the years. Especially, Jane Piazza and JoAnn Kazanjian from the Eddy Visiting Nurses and Heleen Drouin and Jackie Jacques from Eddy Home Care. You provided loving care always. Thank you.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 9:00 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy and at 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church in Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery in Troy.
