Eleanor Baxter Briscoe, 84

Schenectady Eleanor Baxter Briscoe, 84, of Kings Road, died Friday at Ellis Hospital Schenectady, after a long illness.

Born in Watertown, NY she was daughter of the late Frank and Mary Baxter and wife of the late George W. Briscoe. She was raised in Watertown moving to North Greenbush in 1970 and to Schenectady 4 1/2 years ago.

Mrs. Briscoe was a legal secretary for 58 years, since 1970 for the law firm of DeGraff Foy Holt-Harris Kunz & Devine in Albany retiring 10 years ago.

She was an avid bowler and golfer.

Survivors include a step daughter Susan Allen of Clifton Park; four step sons David W. Briscoe of Feura Bush, E. Philip Briscoe of Sand Lake, G. Peter Briscoe of Niskayuna and Theodore J. Briscoe of North Greenbush; 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren .

Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00am from the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home Inc 4392 Route 150 West Sand Lake with Rev. Louis Guariniello, Pastor of Salem United Methodist Church, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 10-11am prior to the service. Interment Bloomingrove Cemetery in Defreestville.
