Edwena Loffts Reynolds, 91

Troy - Edwena Loffts Reynolds, 91, formerly of Euclid Avenue died Monday, October 3, 2011, at Eddy Heritage House Nursing Center after a long illness.

Born in Camillus, NY, she was daughter of the late William Loffts and Ruth Edwena Ashby Loffts and wife for 54 years of the late George B. Reynolds. She had resided in Camillus, NY, Lyons, NY and many years in Troy and was a a graduate of Camillus High School, earned her Bachelors from Russell Sage College class of 1942 and her Masters in Education from SUNY in Albany.

Mrs. Reynolds was taught Home Economics at Troy High School and was the Department Head for many years.

She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Troy and a member of Ilium Literary Club and the Rensselaer County Historical Society, the Troy Area Retired Teachers and Cornell Cooperative Extension.

Survivors include a daughter - Nancy R. (James) Stocking, Yardley, PA; a son, Phillip W. Reynolds, Troy; her grandchildren, Robert W. and Michael W. Reynolds, Jennifer Stocking Saks and Abigail Stocking; her great grandchildren, Abby Reynolds, George Cotzas-Reynolds, Angelos Cotzas-Reynolds and Carter, Caleb and Piper Saks; a cousin, Esther Lovell Hudson and several nieces and nephews, George, Phyllis, Glenn and Irene Holzhauer, David and Carol Reynolds and Jodi Marshall.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Thursday from 11 AM -1 PM with a funeral service to follow at 1PM.

Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery Troy.

The family would like to thank the second floor nursing staff of the Eddy Heritage House for making Edwena's stay comfortable.
