Edward H. Byng, 76

Troy - Edward H. Byng, 76, of Riverview Garden Apartments died Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Samaritan Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Schenectady, he was son of the late Harlan Byng and Helen Ruth Springer. He was raised in Schenectady and resided in Johnsonville until moving to Troy many years ago and was attended Catholic Central High School.

Mr. Byng was a telephone installer for various companies for many years.

He enjoyed fishing and was a Navy veteran.

Survivors include his children, Holly Carlson and Timothy Byng both of Karnak, IL; a sister, Harlene 'Bunny' O'Hara, Wynantskill; several nieces and nephews. His brother, Brian Byng died the following day.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service which will be held Wednesday at 10 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy. Interment will be in Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery Schuylerville.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Edward H. Byng to the Mohawk and Hudson River Humane Society 3 Oakland Avenue Menands, NY 12204.
