Edna Gundersen Mirabella, 88

East Longmeadow, MA - Edna Gundersen Mirabella, 88, formerly of Troy, NY, died Saturday, June 18, 2011, at East Longmeadow Skilled Nursing Center, East Longmeadow, MA.

Born in Watervliet, she was daughter of the late Nils Lee Gundersen and Edna Hubert Gundersen and wife of the late Barney Mirabella. She had resided in Tower, MN, and Brooklyn and Troy,NY most her life,and attended school in Tower, MN and Lansingburgh and Troy, NY.

Mrs. Mirabella was employed at Chase Manhattan Bank for many years.

She was a member of Literacy Volunteers of America, the Thursday Morning Club, worked Red Cross blood drives, was a communicant of St. John's Episcopal Church in Troy and volunteered at the Thrift Shop of the church, and with the Samaritan Hospital Auxiliary.

Survivors include a daughter, Joan (Vincent) McPartland, Longmeadow, MA; four grandchildren, Kevin (Michelle) McPartland, Mt Kisco, NY, Peter (Jenna) McPartland Venice, FL, Adam Prodan, Longmont, CO and Michael Prodan, Longmont, CO; five great grandchildren, Patrick, Joseph, Rose and Cara McPartland; a sister, Marie (Allen) Wilmot, Webster, MN and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Judith Mirabella.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Tuesday from 4-7 PM.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 12:30 PM at the St. John's Episcopal Church 146 First Street Troy, NY, with Rev. Peter Pierson, Interim Rector, officiating.

Interment will be in Brookside Cemetery Barberville.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Edna G. Mirabella to the Literacy Volunteers of Greater Rensselaer County Inc.1913 Fifth Avenue Troy, NY 12180.
