North Greenbush - Edith ‘Edie’ Helen Teal Robbins, 75, of Pheasant Lane died Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at Albany Medical Center Hospital after a brief illness surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Stephentown, she was daughter of the late Ervin Teal and Helen Geerholt Teal and wife of the late Alec Raymond Robbins. She was raised in Stephentown and resided in Poestenkill, Sand Lake and the past 25 years in Wynantskill and attended Averill Park High School.
Mrs. Robbins was a homemaker for many years and previously worked at Sterling-Winthrop and at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Albany for the Very Rev. William Pape.
She loved gardening, gambling, bingo, her animals and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her children, Deborah Arnold, Watervliet, Danny Arnold, Saratoga Springs and Teresa Armao, Troy, a son-in-law, Ronald Armao, Troy; a daughter-in-law, Toni Arnold, Clifton Park; her siblings, Elsie Miller, Stephentown, Evelyn Myott, Poestenkill, Beverly Stockholm, West Sand Lake and Jackie (Grace) Teal; her grandchildren, Connor Arnold, Anthony Armao, Nick Arnold, Abby Armao and Justin Bryar and several nieces and nephews. Edie was also survived by two special friends, Lois Richardson and Brenda Mattimore. She was predeceased by four siblings, Esther Holt, Alberta Sears, Des Teal and Judi Marchand.
Relatives and friends may call at the St. Michael the Archangel Church 175 Williams Road Troy on Monday, November 30, 2015 from 9-10 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10AM.
Interment will be in Elmwood Hill Cemetery Troy.
