Edith Lewis Brand Baldauf, 83

Latham - Edith Lewis Brand Baldauf, 83, of Latham, died Sunday, June 3, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy with her loving family by her side.

Born in Burke, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edward Lewis and Louise Burnell Lewis and wife of the late Morris Brand and Charles F. Baldauf.

She had resided in Averill Park for many years and most recently in Latham.

Mrs. Baldauf was a homemaker.

She was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Halfmoon. She enjoyed family, camping and bingo.

She is survived by her children, Patricia (Jack) Welcome of West Sand Lake, Shirley (Larry) Letourneau of Florida, Sandra (Alan) Linen of Florida, Elaine (Bob) Bechard of Waterford, Diane (Tom) McCarthy of Latham, James (Laurie) Brand of Waterford, Beverly (predeceased) and (Doug) Chura of Averill Park, Janet Huyck of Watervliet, Edward (Patty) Baldauf of Watervliet, John Baldauf of Watervliet and Robin (Paul) Labelle of Watervliet; a brother, Hubert (Dot) Lewis of Hoosick Falls; a sister, Leona Duheme of Canada; 27 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Loyal (Joe) Lewis and Agustus (Gusty) Lewis and five sisters, Ruth Mayville, Marjorie Knox, Dorothy Brady, Evelyn Burdick and Leona (Sue) Redmond.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10:00 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy with Rev. Duke Hergatt, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery in Troy.

The family wishes to thank the nurses at St. Mary's Hospital 6th and 3rd floors and Drs. Aram, Farooq and Goldstein for their special care to our mother.

Contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Baldauf to the Temple Baptist Church Building Fund 142 Lower Newtown Road, Halfmoon, NY 12188.
