Douglas Howard Teal, 76

North Greenbush Douglas Howard Teal, 76, of Blooming Grove Drive, died Thursday at Van Rensselaer Manor North Greenbush, after a long illness.

Born in Berlin, NY he was son of the late Albert and Lulu Maxon Teal and husband of Louise Snyder Teal. He had resided in Berlin for 18 years, Troy several years and in West Sand Lake for 48 years and was educated at Berlin High School.

Mr. Teal was a self employed general contractor for 40 years.

He was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church in West Sand Lake and the finance committee of the church.

Survivors in addition to his wife include three sons, Douglas H. Teal Jr.(Susan) of Valatie, Kevin G. Teal (Roxane) of Wynantskill and David W. Teal (Dawn) of Taborton and three grandchildren, Mark, Gretchen and Katy Teal. He was predeceased by 2 brothers and 4 sisters.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:00am from the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 4392 Route 150 West Sand Lake with Rev Dr Patricia A. Bush, Pastor of the Salem United Methodist Church, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 4-6pm.
