Dorothy A. Policano O'Shea , 71

West Sand Lake Dorothy A. Policano O'Shea , 71 ,of Winding Ridge Road in West Sand Lake died Tuesday, July 6, 2004 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy after a brief illness.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore Policano and Dorothy (Connerton) Policano and wife of the late Gerard L. O'Shea.

She had resided in Brooklyn for 71 years and was a graduate of St. Joseph's High School in Brooklyn.

Mrs. O'Shea was a Communications Analyst for Shearson Lehman Brothers in Manhattan for 21 years, retiring 6 years ago.

She adored her family and especially her grandchildren and was a communicant of St. Henry's Church in Averill Park.

She is survived by two sons, Kevin (Barbara) O'Shea of Staten Island and Gerard L. (Cathy) O'Shea of West Sand Lake; two sisters, Kathryn Darcy of South Carolina and Elizabeth Ann McCoy of Florida; eight grandchildren, Meghan, Gerard, Brittany, Brooke, Caitlin, Kelly, Matthew and Kara O'Shea and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Rose Shea.

Funeral service will be held Friday at8:15am from the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy and at 9:00am at St. Henry's Church Old Route 66 Averill Park where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9pm. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, in Brooklyn. Contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. O'Shea to the American Cancer Society 260 Osborne Road Loudonville, NY 12211.
