Dorothy 'Grace' Follos Chittenden, 90

Troy - Dorothy 'Grace' Follos Chittenden, 90, formerly of Tower Avenue, Albia, died Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at St. Mary's Hospital.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Silas and Anna Eaton Follos. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Ralph E. Chittenden. Mrs. Chittenden resided in Troy all of her life and attended Troy Schools.

Mrs. Chittenden owned and operated a hair salon on the east side of Troy for several years and then worked for many years at Crestview Nursing Home.

She was a member of the Pawling Avenue Methodist Church.

Survivors include her two sons, Ronald Chittenden of Watervliet and Richard (Joanne) Chittenden of Brunswick; 5 grandchildren, Tracy (Joe) Carroll of Clifton Park, Scott Chittenden of Ballston Spa, Eric (Misty) Chittenden of Ballston Spa, Brian (Lisa) Repecki of Brunswick, and Kevin (Mary Ann) Repecki of Troy; 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Lona Repecki, her sister, Edith Hewitt and brothers, Spencer and Edward Follos.

Funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy with Rev. Karyl Hopp, Pastor of the Pawling Avenue Methodist Church, officiating.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 9 - 11 AM, prior to the service.

Interment will be in Elmwood Hill Cemetery Troy.
