Doris Arlene Hogle, 80

West Sand Lake - Doris Arlene Hogle, 80, a lifelong resident of West Sand Lake who died suddenly Friday, February 20, 2009, at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, FL.

Doris graduated from Averill Park High School. After graduation she worked for the Telephone Company until she joined Mayfair Decorating Studios for 25 years and later M. Solomon for 8 years. During these years her talents and skills as an interior decorator were greatly appreciated by her many customers..

She was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in West Sand Lake. Doris traveled widely and was especially pleased to be the only person from West Sand Lake to have ridden a camel while visiting Egypt in 1980. Doris was also pleased and enjoyed living in the same house since she was 13 years old. Doris will be missed by her many friends in West Sand Lake, NY. She enjoyed spending the winter on the west coast of Florida, with good friends in Englewood, FL. Her parents, Harold Hogle and Myra Ferguson Hogle both lifelong residents of West Sand Lake predeceased her.

Survivors include her cousins, Allene Carns of Binghamton, Jean C. Hendy of Clifton Park and William Ferguson of Queensbury.

A memorial service will be held Thursday June 18^th at 2PM at Trinity Lutheran Church Route 150 West Sand Lake.
