Doris Elaine (Jensen) Dennis

Wynantskill - Doris Elaine Jensen Dennis, 87, of VanWoert Court died Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at Evergreen Commons after a long illness.

Born in Spring Valley Twp, SD, she was daughter of the late Neils S. Jensen and Emma  Sorenson Jensen and wife of the late Lee A. Dennis Jr.. She was raised in Spring Valley Twp, South Dakota, moved to Santa Anna, CA and resided in Lansingburgh for 27 years and in Wynantskill for the past 40 years and was a graduate of Santa Anna High School in CA. 

Mrs. Dennis was a department manager at Price Chopper for 30 years, retiring in 1993

She was an active member of the Third Presbyterian Church in Troy and Hi-Way Recreation bowling league in Wynantskill.    

Survivors include her children, Susan (Richard) Bogan, Greenfield Center, Timothy Dennis, Clifton Park and Kelly Valerio, Averill Park; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 10AM at the Third Presbyterian Church 113 Winter Street Troy with Rev. John McAuley, Pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in  Oakwood Cemetery Troy.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Doris Elaine Dennis to the American Diabetes Association 2 Pine West Plaza Albany, NY 12205.
