Donald Mark (Moose) Vielkind, 55

Riverside, CA - Donald Mark (Moose) Vielkind, 55, died on March 2, 2012 in Oakland, California. He was born on October 25, 1956 and was predeceased by his parents, Edward A. and Rita Bondi Vielkind. Don was a 1974 graduate of La Salle Institute in Troy and had lived in California for more than thirty years. He was primarily employed in the home construction and repair industry and was a proud member of the Teamsters Union.

Don is survived by his two sons, Paul Vincent Vielkind and Brandon Joseph Vielkind, both of Riverside, California as well as his siblings and their families: David (Annemarie) Vielkind and their daughter, Elizabeth, Paula Vielkind (John Neun) and their sons, John and James Vielkind-Neun, and Patricia Vielkind. Also surviving are many cousins, an uncle and three aunts, (Vincent and Leota Bondi, Marion Colaneri and Lorraine Simmons).

The family invites those wishing to remember Don to the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Tuesday from 9-10:30am, where there will be a Memorial Service at 10:30am. Don's inurnment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery (Mann Avenue) Troy immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any Memorial contributions for Don be made to the American Heart Association 440 New Karner Road Albany, NY 12205 or Charity of one's choice.
