Mechanicville - Dominick A. Zurlo died peacefully on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Albany Medical Center. He lived in Mechanicville, NY most of his life, and in his later years was a resident at Evergreen Commons Nursing Home in East Greenbush.

Dominick is predeceased by his wife Frances LaValla Zurlo, his daughter Mary Theresa Zurlo and his grandson John J. Zurlo, Jr and is survived by his daughter, Sue (Martin) Carbone; son, John (Kim) Zurlo; grandchildren, Martin (Stephanie) Carbone, Kari (James) Lawson, Kristy (Ross) Smith; great grandchildren, Nicholas and Elizabeth Carbone, Emma and Matthew Lawson, and Ryan Smith and sister, Frances Parker.

Dominick was 100 years young and will forever be fondly remembered as Poppy Zurlo to his family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, December 26^th at 11 am at Sacred Heart Church on Pawling Avenue in Troy.

Dominick was a man who was always kind and considerate to those around him. To honor his memory, please choose to do a special deed for someone today.
