Dominick D. Nichols, 72

Troy Dominick D. Nichols, 72, of Hutton St. died Sunday, August 7, 2005 after an automobile accident in Florida.

Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Charles Nichols and Mary (Cazzillo) Nichols of the Beman Park area.

He was longtime resident of Troy. He was loved by all he met.

Mr. Nichols was an area business owner and operator for many years.

He was a member of Knights of Columbus, CRAB Club, Troy Lodge of Elks, Emerald Athletic Club, All-Troy Athletic Club and many others and was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

He is survived by two sons, Ron Nichols (Julie Severance) of Waterford and Mike Nussbaumer (Leslie) of Alabama; two daughters, Melissa Shufon (Steven) of Troy and Debbie Nichols of Troy; a son-in-law, Mark Balistreri of Troy; his grandchildren, Joshua and Breeanna Nichols, Donny Batchelor and Jordan Nussbaumer; two aunts, Dolores Snyder of FL and Antoinette 'Tootie' Brown of Troy; a nephew and a niece, Greg and Dolores. He was predeceased by his daughter, Annette Balistreri and son, Donnie Nichols.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Victory Church 55 North Lake Avenue Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Rev. Randall Patterson, Pastor, officiating.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy Sunday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Interment St. Mary's Cemetery in Troy.
