Dominica Pat Antonucci Fitzgerald

Wynantskill Dominica Pat Antonucci Fitzgerald, 80,of Douglas Street, died Friday, November 25, 2005 at her residence after a long illness surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Italy, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Patrina Spadaro Antonucci and wife of the late John W. Fitzgerald.

She came to America at the age of 9 months and resided in Albany, Pennsylvania, Michigan and, since 1945 in Wynantskill. She attended high school, nursing school and cosmetology/beautician school in Detroit, Michigan.

Minnie operated Pat's Beauty Shop in Wynantskill for the past 55 years.

She was a communicant of St. Jude's Church in Wynantskill and a member of its Rosary Altar Society and a Eucharistic Minister. She was also a volunteer at the Van Rensselaer Manor, cared for elders delivering meals and driving them to doctors appointments, was a member of the women's bowling league and a Cub Scout Den Mother.

She is the beloved mother of Patricia Seymour (Shaun) of Wynantskill, Frank Fitzgerald of Cleveland, OH, Kathleen Fitzgerald Dayton (Daniel) of Troy and the late John Fitzgerald, mother-in-law of Renate Manville of Reston, VA; sister of Josephine Caravaggio of Detroit, MI and Joseph Antonucci of Clinton, MI; loving grandmother of Erin Seymour-Fortunato (Nicholas), Brian Seymour (Deanna), Meghan Cordes (Roger), Zachary and John Fitzgerald and Daniel, Alexandra, Jarrett, Dominica and Emily Dayton; dear great grandmother of Bailee Seymour and aunt of Barbara DeLapp and Cathy Carter and several other nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy and at 10:00 AM at St. Jude the Apostle Church in Wynantskill where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Salvatore Rodino, Pastor.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 4-8 PM. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Rubin Dialysis Center in Troy for their compassion and excellent care.
