David L. Jones

Halfmoon - David L. Jones, 70, of Martindale Court died Thursday, February 18, 2016, at his residence after a  illness.

Born in Troy, he was son of the late Franklin Jones and Olga Woychishin Jones. He was raised in Wynantskill,  resided in Halfmoon for the past 2 years. He a graduate of Averill Park and earned his Associate's degree from HVCC. 

Mr. Jones was a Chief Operator for the data processing department of NYS Higher Education retiring in 1995.   

David was a Yankee fan, he loved to dance, watch Jeopardy, had a great sense of humor and his was always laughing. He was an Air Force veteran.

Survivors include two daughters, Christine Tye, Asheville, NC and Nicole Jones, Brunswick; a son - David (Becky) Jones, Poestenkill; his grandchildren,  Logan Tye, Josephine Otten and Angelina Jones; his siblings, Gordon (Emma) Jones, AZ,. Brian (Donna) Jones, Clifton Park, Conrad (Toni) Jones, Rensselaer, Quenten 'Mike' (Sherri) Jones, CA and Lore Jones, WA and several neices and nephews.  He was predeceased by a brother, Jeffrey Jones.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 11 AM- 1PM with a service at 1 PM. 

Interment will be in  St. Mary's Cemetery Troy.
