Daniel A. Northrup, 66

Petersburgh - Daniel A. Northrup, 66, of 56 Road Petersburgh died suddenly Thursday, April 8, 2010, at Albany Medical Center Hospital.

Born in Ravena, he was son of Estelle Krzykowski Northrup of Selkirk and the late Arnold Northrup and husband of Ella Schreiner Whaley Northrup.

He graduated from Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School and then enlisted in the United States Air Force, stationed in France. He was one of the first seven people hired by General Electric Company in the building of their plastics plant at Selkirk, NY.

During his retirement he was a craftsman in woodworking and metal art. He enjoyed the outdoors.

Survivors in addition to his wife and mother include his children, Leah M. McElroy, Daniel A. Northrup and Barbara J. Northrup; a grandson, Michael Northrup; two brothers, Randall and Dennis Northrup; his step children, Jon, Michael and William Whaley; step grandchildren, Kierstin Crosier, Michael, Tiyler, and Payton Whaley and a niece and several nephews.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 9-11 AM with Rev. C. Joseph Ingraham, officiating.

Interment will be in Brookside Cemetery in Barberville.
