Latham - Clifford Edward Diehl Sr., 69, of Cohoes Avenue died Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at Albany Medical Center Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Troy, he was son of the late Harold E. Diehl and Ethel Estalla Brunick Diehl and husband of Christine Moquin Diehl for 49 years. He was raised in Troy and resided in Latham for the past 44 years and was educated in Troy Schools.
He was a mason for A & V Morini in Troy for over 20 years. Cliff enjoyed deep sea fishing and loved family gatherings.
Survivors include his 3 children, Clifford (Kori) Diehl Jr., Poestenkill, Cindy (Ben) Saint-Cyr, Pembrooke, MA and Cherie (Chris) Kennedy, Rotterdam; his brother, James F. (Georgianna) Diehl, Poestenkill and a sister, Rose (Walter) Bronk, MA; 6 grandchildren; a great granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Eva Kelly and Pauline Carr and a brother, Chester Diehl.
Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Saturday from 12 noon - 3 PM prior to the funeral service at 3pm.
Interment will be in Elmwood Hill Cemetery Troy.
