Clara A. Mele Schreiner, 67

Brunswick Clara A. Mele Schreiner, 67,of Mountain View Avenue, died suddenly Saturday, November 26, 2005 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Mariano Mele and Clara (Badolato) Mele and wife for 45 years of Frank F. Schreiner.

She had resided in Troy all her life and was educated at Troy schools.

Mrs. Schreiner was a homemaker.

She was Past President of the Mountain View Women's Fire Auxiliary and a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Troy.

Survivors in addition to her husband include three daughters, Clara Pratt (Edward) of Pittstown, Frances Mason (David) of North Greenbush and Beatrice Phillips (Jay) of Brunswick; six grandchildren, Edward Pratt Jr., Matthew Pratt, Kristin, Michael and Lisa Mason and Zachary Phillips; her brothers and sisters, Mary Meachen of Wynantskill, Catherine Rocque of Sycaway, Lena Manillo of Sycaway, Josephine Basile of Niskayuna, Nick Mele of Sycaway, Salvatore Mele of Sycaway and Marion Stevens of Valley Falls; her sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Revior of Brunswick and Marie Mele of Sycaway; several nieces and nephews and a good friend, Veronica Szalasny of Brunswick. She was predeceased by two sisters, Connie Mele and Beatrice Brucato and a sister-in-law, Ruth Quandt.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 9:00 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy and at 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4- 8 PM.

Interment St. Mary's Cemetery in Troy.
