Charles Richard Toomajian Sr. , 91

Brunswick Charles Richard Toomajian Sr. , 91 ,of Hoosick Road died Thursday, July 22, 2004 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy after a brief illness.

Born in Fowler, CA, he was the son of the late Martin Toomajian and Hazel (Barsam) Toomajian. and husband for 40 years of Frances Furdyna Toomajian and the late Goldie M. Shooshan Toomajian.

He had resided in North Troy and Brunswick for most of his life and attended Alfred University and SUNY Albany.

Mr.Toomajian owned and operated a service station on River Street in Troy across from Cluett's for 27 years and more recently worked as a salesman at Mooradian's Furniture on River Street in Troy.

He was a member of the former Memorial United Methodist Church in Troy.

Survivors in addition to his wife include a son, Charles R. Toomajian Jr. of North Adams, MA.; a daughter, Carol Ann Toomajian of Raleigh, NC; a brother, Martin Toomajian of Troy; five grandchildren, Tracey Tardiff of Sugar Grove, NC, Betsy Phillips of Lynchburg, VA, Katherine Toomajian of North Adams, Charles R. Toomajian III of North Adams and Charles Perusse of Raleigh; two great grandchildren, Reilly Tardiff and Madeline Phillips and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Armon and Leo Toomajian and a sister, Alice Mooradian.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, at 2:00 PM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Interment Elmwood Hill Cemetery, in Troy. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Mr. Toomajian to the Hope United Methodist Church 566 Brunswick Road Troy, NY 12180.
