Charles Danahy, 99

West Sand Lake - Charles Danahy, 99, of Route 150, died Friday, October 14, 2011 at his residence after a long illness.

Born in Westbury, NY he was son of the late Charles and Alicia Kinsella Danahy and husband for 75 years of Muriel Diehm Danahy.

He was a member of the Troy Lodge of Elks, the Sheet Metal Union #83 and a communicant of the former St. William's Church in Troy .

Survivors in addition to his wife include two sons Thomas Danahy of Oregon and James Danahy of West Sand Lake; six grandchildren, Lorraine, Michael and Kimberly Danahy, Heidi Benson and Kevin and Timothy Dennin and three great-grandchildren Ryan, Timothy and Jenna Dennin.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Monday, from 4-7PM.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10AM at the funeral home and at 10:30AM at Sacred Heart Church Troy.

Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery .
