Charles F. Baker Sr., 65

Brunswick - Charles F. Baker Sr., 65, of Garfield Road died Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at Samuel Stratton VA Medical Center Albany, surrounded by his loving family, after a long illness.

Born in Saratoga Springs, he was son of Etta Morey Baker of Brunswick and the late Charles W. Baker and husband for 44 years of Carol Weeden Baker. He was raised in Saratoga Springs and resided in Brunswick most of his life and attended Tamarac schools.

Mr. Baker was owner and operator of CF Baker & Sons well drilling for 40 years.

He was an Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 537 Brunswick and enjoyed hunting, his grandchildren, work and his beagles. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam war.

Survivors include his children, Charles F. (Stacy) Baker Jr., Hoosick Falls, David S. (Marion) Baker, Schodack Brian E. Baker, Cropseyville and Krista J. (Daniel) Tropea, Syracuse, four grandchildren, Aiyana, Charles W., Olivia and Justin Baker; his beloved aunt, Dotty Morey, Greenwich; his mother-in-law, Hazel M. Weeden , Troy; his siblings, James W. (Elaine) Baker, Pattersonville, Roberta Sabattis, Schenectady, Phyllis D. (Joseph) Williams, Troy, Thomas (Carol) Baker, Halfmoon and William Baker, Brunswick and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Monday from 4-8 PM.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday 11 AM at Hope United Methodist Church 566 Brunswick Road Eagle Mills with Rev. David Martin, Pastor , officiating.

Interment will be in Eagle Mills Cemetery Eagle Mills.
