Cecile U. 'Cece' Skop Petit, 82

North Greenbush - Cecile U. 'Cece' Skop Petit, 82, died Monday, April 9, 2007 at Rosewood Gardens in East Greenbush after a long illness.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of Stephen Skop and Sophie (Strycharz) Skop and wife of the late George W. Petit.

She had resided in Troy most of her life and North Greenbush since 1960 and was a graduate of Troy High School.

Mrs. Petit was a clerk for the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance for several years and part-time at Flodent Pharmacy on Pawling Avenue in Troy. Most of her life she was a homemaker.

She was a communicant of St. Michael the Archangel Church in North Greenbush.

She is survived by three daughters, Michelle Petit of Annandale, VA, Georgeane Thomas (John) of Troy and Leslie Bramah of Troy; two sons, William Petit of Erie, PA and Allan J. Petit of Troy; a sister, Irene Bertrand of Watervliet; eight grandchildren, Nicole, Mark, Devin, Kyle, Cassie, Gregory, Sarah, and Elizabeth; five great grandchildren, Conor, Liam, Patrick, Aidan and Ava and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and William Skop and three sisters, Theresa Cihala, Valerie Waz and Mary Brown.

Funeral service will be held Friday at 9:00 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy and at 9:30 AM at St. Michael the Archangel Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 3-8 PM.

Interment Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Rosewood Gardens for their love, help and support and wonderful care they gave Cece.
