Catherine 'Katie' Steen, 84

Schodack - Catherine 'Katie' Steen, 84, formerly of Herman K Lane Schodack Center died Monday, March 29, 2010, at Julie Blair Rehabilitation Center Albany after a long illness.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Frank Holland and Jane Terry Holland and wife of the late Harry J. Steen. She had resided in New York City from 1936-39 and attended Troy Public School 18 and Lansingburgh High School.

Katie was employed as an office manager for the Grand Union Warehouse for 32 years retiring in 1977.

She was a member Emeritus of the Troy Bowling Association and a member of the Third Presbyterian Church in Troy.

Survivors include a sister, Margaret A. (Ernest) Sherman of Wynantskill; a niece, Jane (Charles) Masenas of Essex Junction, VT; a nephew, Jim (Virginia) Sherman of Westmoreland, NY; three great nephews, Andy Masenas and Mark and T.J. Sherman and special neighbors, Fred and Lynn Kingston of Schodack.

Funeral service will be private a the request of Katie.

Interment will be in Elmwood Hill Cemetery Troy.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Catherine Steen to the Third Presbyterian Church 113 Winter Street Troy, NY 12180.
