Carolyn H. (Strope) DelGiacco

Gansevoort - Carolyn H. DelGiacco, 75, of  Cardinal Lane died Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at her sons residence after a long illness.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Howard Strope and Mary Howes Strope and wife of the late Albert J. DelGiacco. She was raised in Brunswick, resided in Troy for many years, in Gansevoort for the past 3 years and was a 1960 graduate of Tamarac High School. 

Mrs. DelGiacco worked at the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance for 20 years, retiring in 2007.  

She was involved in dog rescue for many years and enjoyed gardening and flowers.    

Survivors include a son, Christopher M. (Kathleen) DelGiacco, Gansevoort; and a grandchild, Alexander DelGiacco, Purchase, NY.  She was predeceased by a brother, Howard Strope.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 3-6 PM with a funeral service at 6 PM with Rev. Gusti Linnea Newquist, officiating.
