Carole G. Watters Nichols, 67

Troy Carole G. Watters Nichols, 67, of Fourth Avenue Troy, died Sunday, August 7, 2005 an automobile accident while vacationing with her family in Florida.

Born in Cambridge, NY, she was the daughter of Elizabeth (Marceill) Dahl of Troy and the late George Watters.

She had resided in Troy most of her life.

Mrs. Nichols was employed in the environmental services department of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for 21 years retiring 5 years ago.

She enjoyed bingo, sewing and knitting and her many friends. Everyone who knew Carole loved her.

Survivors in addition to her mother include a daughter, Melissa Shufon (Steven) of Troy, a son, Ron Nichols (Julie Severance) of Waterford; a son-in-law, Mark Balistreri of Troy; a brother, George L. Watters of Tenn; two sisters, Patricia Bentley (Darwin) of Tenn and Rhonda Krall (Glenn) of PA; two grandchildren, Joshua and Breeanna Nichols; her cousin, Richard Chenette and other cousins and many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Annette Balistreri and son, Donnie Nichols.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Victory Church 55 North Lake Avenue Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Rev. Randall Patterson, Pastor, officiating.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy Sunday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Interment St. Mary's Cemetery in Troy.
