Troy - Carl R. 'Bud' Normand Jr.,77 ,of Fourth Avenue died Thursday, March 29, 2007 at Northwoods at Troy after a long illness.

Born in New York City, he was the son of the late Carl Normand Sr. and Mary (Smart) Normand and husband for 51 years of Marcella Bartling Normand.

He came to Troy as a child where he resided most of his life and was educated at Troy Public School 10.

Bud was employed in the maintenance department of Samaritan Hospital in Troy for several years retiring in 1981.

He was a member of the Noble-Callahan Post in Troy, the Troy Postal Reserve and the Korean War Veteran's Association and was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors in addition to his wife include a daughter, Linda S. Walsh (Joe) of Clifton Park; a sister, Gene Zelenke of Troy; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Charboneau and Daniel Combs; two great grandchildren, Dylan and Isabella Charboneau; a nephew, Harry Ferguson Sr. (Julia) and several additional nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Emma Bonesteel and three brothers, Charles, Raymond and Howard Wright.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, at 9am at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 4-8 PM. Interment Memory's Garden in Colonie.
