Betty Ann Castle Sopchak, 82

Wallingford, CT - Betty Ann Castle Sopchak, 82, died Sunday, November 6, 2011, at Masonicare in Wallingford, CT after a brief illness.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late David Nelson Castle and Elizabeth Herkenham Castle and wife for 43 years of Nicholas G. Sopchak. She had resided inTroy and Wynantskill for many years and in Wallingford, CT since 2009. She was a graduate of Troy High School class of 1949 and Austin Beauty School.

Mrs. Sopchak was a homemaker and a beautician for several years.

She was a member of Christ Church United Methodist in Troy.

Survivors in addition to her husband include a son, Nicholas (Deborah) Sopchak, Cheshire, CT; a sister, Doris Mooradian, Eagle Mills; a grandson, Jeffrey N. Sopchak, Cheshire, CT and a niece, Amy (Robert) Morris.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Wednesday from 4-7 PM.

Funeral service will be held Thursday at 10:30 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Nina Nichols, officiating.

Interment will be in Elmwood Hill Cemetery Troy.
