Betsy Ann Gibb, 58

WYNANTSKILL - Betsy Ann Gibb, 58, passed away May 2, 2008 in Troy. She died of cancer.

Betsy was born Sept. 22, 1949 in the town of Nassawadox on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, the daughter of Col. Edward Franklin Gibb, Jr. and Dorothy Wise Gibb.

She is survived by her devoted companion of 18 years, Ronald Knauer of Wynantskill, and a nephew, Devlin Barrett of Arlington, Virginia. She was predeceased by her older sister, Blair Gibb, who died in 1999.

As the child of an Army officer, Betsy grew up in various parts of the United States and Germany. She graduated from the University of Oregon, and over the course of her life she lived in Lexington, Mass., New York City, and the Norfolk, Virginia area. Betsy moved to Troy in the late 1980's, where she met Ron, and the two have been inseparable ever since.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the graveside service which will be held Saturday at 10AM at the Eagle Mills Cemetery on Garfield Road in Eagle Mills.
