Bertha Jackson Dyer , 89

West Sand Lake Bertha Jackson Dyer , 89 , formerly of Route 150 in West Sand Lake died Sunday, November 7, 2004 at Julie Blair Rehabilitation Center in Albany after a long illness.

Born in Watervliet, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Jackson and Bertha (Brisson) Jackson and wife of the late Frank Kadara Dyer Sr.

She had resided in West Sand Lake for over 60 years.

Mrs. Dyer was employed as a housewife and many years ago was employed by Montgomery Ward and A&P food stores.

She was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church in West Sand Lake.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Nancy Dyer of West Sand Lake; a daughter-in-law, Donna Dyer of Poestenkill; six grandchildren, Frank D. Dyer, Renee Mack, Daniel, Russell and Chad Dyer and Leslie Prugel; 12 great grandchildren; a great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Frank K. Dyer Jr.; two sisters, Clara Ott and Irene Jackson and a brother Theodore Jackson.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 4392 Route 150 West Sand Lake with Rev. Andrew Russ, Chaplain of The Community Hospice of Rensselaer County, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 10-11am prior to the service. Interment Memory's Garden in Colonie.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Dyer to the Salem United Methodist Church PO Box 475 West Sand Lake, NY 12196.
