Bernice Joan (Mains) Bull

Wynantskill - Bernice Joan Mains Bull, 84, of Simmons Road died Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at her residence after a brief illness.

Born in Cohoes, she was daughter of the late Clarence E. Mains Jr. and Irene Vadnais Mains and wife of Robert Kenneth Bull. She was raised in Cohoes, resided in Troy for several years before moving to Wynantskill in 1958. She was a 1947 graduate of Troy High School and  earned her Bachelor's degree from the College of St. Rose in1985. 

Mrs. Bull was a cashier and international banker for the Troy Savings Bank State Street Troy. 

She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, former Den Mother, was a member of the Kappa Gamma Pi, National Catholic College Graduate Honor Society, trained puppies for Guiding Eyes for the Blind and enjoyed reading for Literacy Volunteers.  She enjoyed gardening and family.    

Survivors in addition to her husband include a son, Robert Paul (Susan Mitchell) Bull, Stamford, CT; two daughters, Cynthia Jeanine (Robert) Brisson, Speigletown and Virginia Marie (Charles) Camarotte, Elbert, CO; her grandchildren, Adam Robert Bull, Amy Rebekah Bull Hariki, Leo (Becky) Brisson, Renee (Derrick) DeGiule, Matthew Brisson, Alicia (Harrison) Holmes, Paul, Robert Kenneth, Philip and Silas Brisson and Amanda and Catherine Camarotte; three great grandchildren, Ava, Justin and Samuel DeGiule; a half sister, Susan R. Pitcher Ring, Sandy, UT and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a sister, Claire Robinson.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Monday, June 30, 2014 from 4-7 PM . 

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 AM at the funeral home and at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church Troy where a  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. James J. Vaughan.

Interment will be in  Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery Schuylerville.
