Barbara Ann Wilcox, 72

Troy - Barbara Ann Wilcox, 72, of Vandenburgh Place died Saturday, May 15, 2010, at Samaritan Hospital after a long illness.

Born in Pittsfield, MA, she was daughter of the late Wesley Gangell and Margaret Keating Gangell and wife of the late Milton Sample and Francis Wilcox. She was raised in Lee, MA and resided since 1978 in the Troy Area and was a graduate of Lenox, MA High School class of 1957 and St. Luke's Nursing School in Pittsfield.

Mrs. Wilcox was a Registered Nurse for Samaritan Hospital from 1978- 2009 working in the Hospice Unit as a nurse and later a Unit Secretary.

Survivors include three daughters, Lisa (Robert) Ennis of Averill Park, Lori (Scott) MacGregor of Sacandaga Lake and Joann (Tinker) Carter of Rensselaer; her grandchildren, Kelly Ennis, MacKenna MacGregor, Trevor Carter and Ashley and Amber Rainey; a sister, Susan (Richard) Crist of Lone Tree, CO; four brothers, Thomas (Chris) Gangell of Cleveland, Donald (Terri) Gangell of Newnan, GA, Michael Gangell of MA and Timothy Gangell of FL and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Paul Gangell.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 10:00 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4- 7 PM.

Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery Lenox, MA.
