Barbara Claus Daniels, 63

Cropseyville, NY-Barbara Claus Daniels, 63,of Blue Factory Road passed away of ovarian cancer Friday, March 31, 2006 at home.

Born in Grafton, she was the daughter of the late Herman Claus and Marie (Acer) Claus, stepdaughter of Edna (Greene) Claus and wife of Robert Daniels.

She resided in the Cropseyville area and was in the first graduating class from Tamarac High School.

Barbara began working for the U.S. Postal Service in 1966 and became Postmaster of the Cropseyville, NY Post Office in 1972. She enjoyed talking with all the people she met through the Post Office.

Her greatest joy came from caring and giving to her family and those around her. Throughout her life she enjoyed being outdoors, working in her garden and feeding the birds.

In addition to her husband, she will be greatly missed by her loving family, including five daughters, Elisa Grimm (Scott Allen), Cindy Flowers (Scott), Sherylee Grimm, Kaia Gagliardi (Larry) and Nina Levy (Simon); two step sons, Mark Daniels and Paul Daniels (Angela), two brothers, Charles Claus (Sandra) and Leonard Claus (Margaret); a sister, Phoebe Locke; three grandchildren, Alexander and Jackson Flowers and Emma Rose Daniels; ten nieces and nephews and twelve grand nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Gilead Lutheran Church , Route 7 and 278 in Center Brunswick with Rev. Kathleen Boyer-Visser, Pastor and Rev. Harry Heintz, Pastor of Brunswick Church, co-officiating.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy, Tuesday from 5-8 PM. Interment Center Brunswick Cemetery.
