Annette 'Netters' Nichols Balistreri, 40

Troy Annette 'Netters' Nichols Balistreri, 40, of Euclid Avenue, died Sunday, August 7, 2005 after an automobile accident in Florida.

Born in Troy, she was the wife of Mark J. Balistreri and daughter of the late Dominick Nichols and Carole (Watters) Nichols who also died in the accident.

She had resided in Troy all her life and was a graduate of Troy High School.

Mrs. Balistreri was data analyst for United Health Group out of Tampa, FL for the past 8 years and prior to that worked for the NYS Education Department in Albany for 7 years. She was a part time bartender at O'Learys Tavern on 15th Street in Troy for 15 years.

She was a member of the Tri-City Soft Tip Dart League, O'Learys Co-ed Softball League and the Brunswick Fire Company #1 Support Group. 'Netters' loved and connected with everyone she met. There was no separation between friends and family, everyone was family to her.

Survivors in addition to her husband include brothers and sisters, Ron Nichols (Julie Severance) of Waterford, Melissa Shufon (Steven) of Troy, Debbie Nichols of Troy and Mike Nussbaumer (Leslie) of Alabama; her sister-in-law, Carolyn Balistreri of Clifton Park; her grandmother, Elizabeth A. Marceill Dahl of Troy; her father and mother-in-law, Fran and Eileen Balistreri of Troy who loved her like a daughter and two nephews and a niece, Scott Balistreri and Joshua and Breeanna Nichols. She had many, many special friends including 'Earl' , Donny, Shane, and Michelle; however, the family wishes they could thank all of her friends and wants them to know how much they were loved. 'Netters' loved all animals, especially Bear, Tom and Dallas. She was predeceased by her brother-in-law, James Balistreri.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Victory Church 55 North Lake Avenue Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Rev. Randall Patterson, Pastor, officiating.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy Sunday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Interment St. Mary's Cemetery in Troy.

The Balistreri and Nichols Family Trust Fund has been established, in lieu of flowers, at SEFCU c/o Business Development, 1239 Washington Avenue, Albany, NY 12206 or brought to any branch.
