Anne M. Forsha (Adams) Nelson

May 21, 1935 ~ December 6, 2016 (age 81) 81 Years Old

Albany - Anne M. Forsha Nelson, 81, of Rosemont Street died suddenly Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at her residence.

Born in Pittsfield, MA, she was daughter of the late Louis Adams and Mildred Sager Callan Adams and wife of the late William Nelson. She was raised and resided in Albany most of her life. 

Mrs. Nelson was a secretary for the New York State Department of Labor and Department of Taxation and Finance for 20 years, retiring in 1995.  

She loved her animals, shopping, was an avid reader, avid NY Yankees fan and enjoyed spending time with her grand kids.  Anne was a communicant of the former Holy Cross Church in Albany.    

Survivors include a son, Joseph Forsha, Albany; a daughter, Sandra A. (Robert Y.) Bedian, Wynantskill; her grandchildren, Denna-Marie A., Michael K. and Ashley A. Bedian and Sandra and Helen Forsha; a sister, Linda (Raymond) Martin, Ballston Spa; a brother-in-law, Thomas VanAlstyne; a sister-in-law, Nellie Adams and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a son, Michael Forsha and her siblings, William and Richard Adams and Corrine VanAlstyne.

Interment will be in  Calvary Cemetery Glenmont.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Ann M. Nelson to the Mohawk and Hudson River Humane Society 3 Oakland Avenue Menands, NY 12204.
