Anna Elvins Fox Crusius, 96

East Greenbush - Anna Elvins Fox Crusius, 96, of Luther Road and formerly of Troy died Friday, November 2, 2012, at Evergreen Commons after a long illness.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Arthur W. Elvins and Alta M. Campbell Elvins and wife of the late Martin Fox and Harold J. Crusius. She had resided in Troy most of her life and was a graduate of Troy schools.

Anna was a seamstress at Cluett, Peabody, Company in Troy for 29 years.

She was a very devoted member, choir member and chairman of the craft group of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Green Island and a former member of Levings Methodist Church. She was an active member of United Methodist Women, Green Island Senior Citizens and Watervliet Senior Citizens. Anna enjoyed traveling, bowling with the Green Island League, ceramics and sewing.

Survivors include a nephew, Paul VanArnum, Greenfield Center, NY; a niece, Doris Perry, Middle Grove, NY, several other nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews; a Goddaughter, Nonie Baxter, Troy and many friends that she thought of as family. She was predeceased by a son, Alfred J. Fox; a daughter, Rosemary Fox; two brothers, Arthur and Alfred Elvins and a sister, Alta VanArnum.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Monday from10-11AM with a service to follow at 11AM with Chaplain Jane Jessup Mayer, officiating.

Interment will be in Memory Gardens Colonie.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Anna Crusius to the Church of the Good Shepherd 89 Hudson Avenue Green Island, NY 12183.
