Anna Krucka Cerny, 61

Troy - Anna Krucka Cerny, 61, of Donegal Avenue Troy died Sunday, February 08, 2009, at Samaritan Hospital Troy after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Prague, Czech Republic, she was daughter of Marie Nedvedova Krucka in Prague and the late Jaroslav Krucka. She was raised and educated in Prague and resided in Troy for the past 40 years.

Anna worked at the Van Rensselaer Manor for the past 28 years in several capacities, most recently as dietary supervisor.

Survivors in addition to her mother include a son, Thomas H. (Caryn Foster) Cerny of Troy; a daughter, Nicole (Michael Jr.) Qualitero of Troy; her former husband, Thomas Cerny of Troy; two sisters, Zdenka Krucka and Jarka Rupesova both of Prague; two grandchildren, Thomas D. and Kelci A. Cerny and three nephews.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 7PM at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy with Rev. Tony Green , Chaplain for The Community Hospice of Rensselaer County, officiating.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-7PM prior to the service.
