Ann M. Pierson Hagy

Ann M. Hagy, 79

Rensselaer - Ann M. Hagy, 79, of Evergreen Place died Monday, March 3, 2014, at Saratoga Hospital after a long illness.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Vernon M. Pierson and Mazie Horton Pierson. She had resided in various areas on the Capital District and was a graduate of Troy High School class of 1952.

Mrs. Hagy was greeting card manager for Hallmark Cards for CVS in Delmar and Wynantskill for 25 years, retiring in 2007.

She loved to sew and play cards and was a member of the First Reformed Church of Wynantskill.

Survivors include her former husband, Rev. Arthur Hagy of Troy; three sons, Mark (Nancy) Hagy, Sunbury, PA, Paul (Sheryll) Hagy, Gansevoort and Dr. Timothy (Joanne) Hagy, Spencerport, NY; a daughter, Susan (Kenneth) Brooks, Stony Creek, NY; a sister, Jane E. Pierson, Wynantskill; her grandchildren, Isaac and Laura Hagy, Julie (Eric) Blakely, Steven (Elyse) Hagy, Sondra (Michael Gill) Krieg, Rebecca (Anthony Cisneros) Kain, William (Shaylan Watts) Kain and Ryan Brooks and her great grandchildren, Nora Lynn Blakely and Julian, Anthony, Nathaniel and Nayeli Kain.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 from 6-8 PM.

Funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Donald Pangburn, officiating.

Interment will be in Elmwood Hill Cemetery Troy.
