I am so sorry to just hear of Anita's passing. She was part of our family too, considered her my cousin, connected thru my Aunt Marie and Uncle Bob.

Scott, John and Families,
I am shocked and saddened by Anita's passing. She was my mother's first cousin (Elsie Goedtel Orchard) but was closer in age to me. We went to Troy High together but I was 2 years behind her. I remember the Nightingale, visiting Bob and Marie and her sister Caoline

Scott and Family, Anita and I went to nursing school together. I was known as Bo. We became great friends and you know my oldest daughter, Karolyn. We remained good friends through the years. i was so saddened and shocked to hear of her passing. I saw her last in June, when I came up from Florida for a visit. Millie Smith, Barb Benjamin, Joan Caine myself and Anita went out to dinner as we always do when I come up. I am so glad that I was able to see her.

My crazy wonderful friend. I will miss you more then I can say. We talked every week and kept up with each other. We have done a lot of funny and fun things together. I will always remember them and you. You had a wonderful open and caring heart. I'm glad you didn't have to suffer. I hope you had a Manhattan in your hand and pasta on your plate. It saddens me to learn that Anita has passed ... my Uncle Peter thought the world of her and always had a kind word to say on her behalf ... and whenever I was in her company, we sure laughed a lot! She is missed. My deepest sympathies to the family.
