Alice (Natcharian) Wildman

February 13, 1923 ~ February 18, 2015 (age 92) 92 Years Old

Troy - Alice Natcharian Wildman, 92, of Brunswick Road died Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at Samaritan Hospital after a long illness.
 
Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Nazaret P. Natcharian and Zarouhy Azadian Natcharian and wife of the late Thomas A. Wildman. She resided in the Troy and Loudonville areas all her life and was a graduate of Troy High School and Mildred Elley School in Albany. 
 
In the 1940’s and early 1950’s, Mrs. Wildman worked at the American Locomotive Company in Schenectady, where she met her husband.  She was later employed as a secretary at the New York State Department of Mental Health, from which she retired in 1991.   
 
She was a member of St. Peter Armenian Apostolic Church in Watervliet and its Women's Guild and Adult Fellowship.  She was also a member of the Daughters of Vartan.  She was extremely active in Home Bureau and PTA in her earlier years. She loved home decorating and inviting people to enjoy her cooking and hospitality. She was an expert at knitting, crocheting, sewing, embroidery and gardening.  She lovingly created countless gifts that her family and friends wear and cherish. Most of all, she enjoyed serving and being surrounded by friends and by her large extended family.

Survivors include her daughter, Janice (Martin) Toomajian of Brunswick; her grandchildren, Martin P. Toomajian and Anne M. Toomajian of New York City; nephews Matthew (Lisa) Natcharian of Simsbury, Conn., Michael Natcharian of Albany and Daniel (Lynn) O’Malley of Latham; nieces Elida Dillon of Lansingburgh and Mary (Joseph) Brady of Moreau; and sisters-in-law Mary Wildman Dillon of Lansingburgh and Mary Caulfield Wildman of Troy. She is also survived by grandnephews and grandnieces. She was predeceased by a sister, Naomi Natcharian, and a brother, Philip J. Natcharian. 

Relatives and friends may call at St. Peter Armenian Apostolic Church, 100 Troy-Schenectady Road, Watervliet, on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. 

Funeral service will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the church with Rev. Stepanos Doudoukjian, Pastor, officiating.
 
Interment will be in Elmwood Hill Cemetery, Troy.
