Alice Clickner Sagendorf, 88

Troy Alice Clickner Sagendorf, 88, of Tibbits Avenue, died Friday at Heritage House Nursing Center Troy, after a long illness.

Born in Poestenkill, she was daughter of the late Ward and Eva Ives Clickner and wife of the late Oden B. Sagendorf. She had resided most of her life in Poestenkill and was a graduate of Troy High School.

Mrs. Sagendorf was the private secretary for the late Clarence Dauchy, E.B. Stevenson CPA and later for J. Alan VanWie Insurance in Troy.

She was a member of the Poestenkill Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aide Society of that church, the PTA and the Poestenkill Historical Society. Alice enjoyed traveling, entertaining, working at church functions, and was known for being outgoing and helping others.

Survivors include two beloved daughters, Cathy D. and Linda A. Sagendorf and a sister, Olive Frank all of Poestenkill; a niece and four great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday January 18^th at 5:00pm at the Poestenkill Evangelical Lutheran Church Route 351 Poestenkill with Rev. Stephen L. Cordes, Pastor, officiating. There will be no calling hours. Interment Elmwood Hill Cemetery Troy. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Sagendorf to the Poestenkill Evangelical Lutheran Church Memorial Fund PO Box 267 Poestenkill, NY 12140.
