Agnes Wildzunas Nitsky, 88

Troy - Agnes Wildzunas Nitsky, 88, of Delaware Avenue Troy died Sunday, March 29, 2009, at Eddy - Ford Nursing Home in Cohoes.

Born in Albany, she was daughter of the late Peter Wildzunas and Anna Keveder Wildzunas and wife of the late Joseph S. Nitsky. She had resided in Albany until moving to Troy in 1973 and was a graduate of Albany High School.

Mrs. Nitsky was a homemaker.

She was a communicant of St. William's Church and now Sacred Heart Church in Troy. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and playing bingo.

Survivors include two daughters, Marie (Kenneth) Leavitt of Troy and Catherine (Donald) Jones of Ellicott City, MD; a brother, Charles Wildzunas of Colonie; 15 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; 2 great great granddaughters and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Margaret Nitsky; a brother, John Wildzunas and a sister, Florence O'Connor.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, at 10:00 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy and at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church in Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. John Yanas, Pastor.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8 PM.

Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery Colonie.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Agnes Nitsky to Alzheimer's Treatment and Research Division of Neurological Associates of Albany PC, 760 Madison Avenue, Albany.
