Adelaide Snyder Grogan, 79

Troy - Adelaide Snyder Grogan, 79, of Foxford Road died Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at her residence after a brief illness.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late John Joseph Snyder and Adelaide M. Breton Snyder and wife of the late Thomas J. Grogan who died in 2006. She had resided in Troy all her life and was a graduate of Catholic Central High School.

Mrs. Grogan was employed in the accounting department of New York Telephone for over 20 years, retiring in 1975.

She was a member of New York Telephone Pioneers, a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include her son, Thomas P. (Amy) Grogan, East Greenbush; two grandchildren, Elizabeth M. and Ashley J. Grogan; a great granddaughter, Skylar A. Downer and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sister, Margaret Prate, Evelyn Snyder and Jean Fitzgerald.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Friday from 4-7 PM.

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 9:30 AM at the funeral home and at 10 AM at Sacred Heart Church Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Interment will be in St. Jean's Cemetery Troy.
